Still Climbing

To be scared is to be human. If you remember the post that started this blog, you know we’ve been there. Since March, we’ve learned a lot. The most important lesson we’ve learned: In order for us to “do good work”, we have to feel good. In order to give a damn about design, we have to first give a damn about our family, our team.

And, so, we have made the decision that it was time we stopped talking about "going back", and start focusing on moving forward. Initially, much like everyone else, we thought this would only be temporary. But, as weeks turned to months, we not only adjusted to working remotely, we embraced it. Our team has proven over the last three months that they never required the studio space to do what we do. So today, I am happy to announce that Studio Dzo is now, and for the foreseeable future, a fully remote multidisciplinary studio delivering elevated design solutions, branding, and thoughtful and engaging experiences. We are committed more than ever to our motto, “Do Good Work for Good People with Good People”.

We are so excited to see where this newfound freedom takes us. So far, we’ve seen an upward growth pattern. That pattern has included an initiative we’re really proud of, several exciting new partners and projects, our Ascenders blog (which was born as a direct response to COVID-19), and more. With the same good work coming from the same great team, we are certain this growth will continue. Thank you to everyone who ever stopped by our studio for a meeting, a party, a lecture, or just a beer. We are looking forward to a time when we will see you, in person. Until then, we love you all and we are looking forward.

Still climbing,

— Russell Toynes
