Novo, a premier commercial construction company, specializes in fast-paced, high-end office builds. We designed a comprehensive interior and exterior architectural sign package that reflects Novo's brand identity, upholds their reputation for excellence, and honors the hardworking team driving their success. Demonstrating our ability to creatively work with limited brand assets, we explored and pushed boundaries to deliver thoughtful branding and lasting impressions inside and out.

At Novo Construction’s flagship headquarters in Austin, Texas, we took the opportunity to brand the exterior with a large reverse-lit sign that integrates seamlessly with the new tone-on-tone exterior paint. Novo's iconic construction yellow provided excellent contrast for the wrap-around building unit ID.
Immediately greeting guests when they walk in, this seven-foot long reception sign, with its 4-inch deep returns painted yellow outside and black inside is an elevated take on the classic neon sign. Juxtaposing the blacked Japanese Shou Sugi Ban wall, we designed this neon reception sign to appear suspended by construction cables from yellow industrial D-rings, while being safely and securely mounted with french cleats.
For a subtle approach, we designed a continuous pattern using Novo’s logo mark to bring visual texture and thoughtful branding above the bar in the employee lounge.
We also designed a brand-aligned mural for Novo’s impressive gym space, serving as a reminder that their team's bodies and minds—like their work—are always "under construction." High-resolution, wall-to-wall printed architectural graphics offer easy cleaning and repair without compromising detail or quality.
A standout feature of the package is the large-scale interactive installation on a prominent warehouse wall. Positioned to be visible from the second-story conference room, the design features a striking black tone-on-tone chevron pattern symbolizing forward momentum, perfectly reflecting Novo's progressive approach to construction. 123 hardhats, arranged in the shape of Texas, are each signed by a Novo employee. The vibrant yellow hardhats, matching Novo’s signature color, add a cohesive and personal touch. A solitary black hard hat marks Austin, the home of Novo’s headquarters. As a tribute to our great partnership, we were invited to add the Studio Dzo name to the installation. This dynamic visual centerpiece turns the warehouse wall into a powerful symbol of teamwork, craftsmanship, and pride.
The success of this project is a true testament to the power of collaboration, creativity, and coordinated management. From the initial concept to final installation, our team worked closely with Novo to ensure that every detail was executed with precision. The integration of design elements, combined with strategic planning and execution, showcases the strength of two unified teams. The result is not just a visually stunning space but a meaningful experience that reflects the spirit of Novo and its dedicated team.
